Welcome to the NHP Website

All you need to know about what is going on locally in the
health and well-being world in Nailsworth and Horsley

Nailsworth Health Partnership is a registered charity seeking to improve the health and well being of people who live and work in the Nailsworth area. How can we do this? By promoting a healthier lifestyle in a healthier environment, something that will benefit us all. We also want to take a lead in providing and sharing information and education. Our aim is not to start from scratch, but to supplement and improve the many existing health related activities in our local community.

The Partnership is keen to create and improve understanding and collaboration between those working in mainstream health and those working in complementary fields.

To hear about events, meetings and activities complete the attached data consent form and return to NHP secretary. Minutes of NHP meetings can be found at the bottom of the Contact Us page or directly from here.

NHP is a registered charity. Charity Commission number is 1161016

Our next events

We are raising money for more community access defibrillators in Nailsworth.  The next one is fitted on September 22nd 2021 in the de-commissioned telephone box at Shortwood Green.  We still need more funds to meet the cost of this (£1,700).  Here's how to make your DONATION

NHP has installed a community access defibrillator (cPAD), which has been funded by The Big Lottery and supplied by Community HeartBeat Trust. It was launched by the NHP patron, Olympian Dan Robinson.  View Gallery to see more pictures of the launch in September 2012.

The cPAD is available 24/7 for anyone who collapses with heart problems in the centre of Nailsworth. Just ring 999 and follow the instructions. It is fitted to the outside wall of Tesco Express.   There is one at the Arkell Centre, Forest Green GL6 0ET (launched November 2018) and another at Woodchester Valley Village (launched December 2018) and one at The George, Newmarket Road (April 2019) and King George V playing fields (early 2021).  These last 4 have been supplied by Cardiac Science
